
Bangladesh has unveiled its first Bangla book on semiconductors, “The Advancement of Technology: Semiconductors and Bangladesh’s Potential.” Written by Mohammad Enayetur Rahman, CEO & President of Ulkasemi and a pioneer of the industry, the book makes this vital technology accessible to everyone.
Published by Student-Ways, this is the first comprehensive resource in Bangla that explains semiconductor technology, its role in the global economy, and Bangladesh’s roadmap to becoming a key player in this vital industry. The book simplifies complex concepts, making semiconductors accessible not only to students and professionals but also to the general public.
The launch event brought together a distinguished gathering of guests. Among them were Rozaimee Abdullah, First Secretary of the High Commission of Brunei; Md. Yousup Faruqu, Country Managing Director of Microsoft for Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal; and Dr. Arifa Chowdhury Rahman, Chairperson of Ulkasemi.
Prominent academics also joined the occasion, including Prof. Dr. Bobby Barua (Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology – AUST), Dr. Shahriyar Masud Rizvi (American International University-Bangladesh – AIUB), Dr. Mainul Hossain (University of Dhaka), Dr. G. R. Ahmed Jamal (University of Asia Pacific – UAP), Dr. Mohammad Masum Billah (Islamic University of Technology – IUT), Mr. Md. Dara Abdus Satter and Dr. Md. The audience also included students, technology experts, young innovators, and senior officials of Ulkasemi, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere.
