ULKASEMI held its Annual Business Retreat & Family Night 2026 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, with a business retreat for employees followed by Family Night for engineers and their families. Approximately 1,300 engineers and family members attended the event.
At the Business Retreat, CEO and President Mohammad Enayetur Rahman and COO Dr. Mizanur Rahman shared the company's short- and long-term vision. Family Night opened with a welcome address by Dr. Arifa Chowdhury Rahman, Chair of the Board, followed by speeches from the CEO and the COO. Colleagues who completed 5, 10 and 15 years of service were honored, and the program included the announcement of the photography contest winners, a raffle draw for family members and a musical performance by Pritom Hasan.
In his Family Night address, the CEO said parents can play the most significant role in building a skilled workforce for Bangladesh’s semiconductor industry, which he described as one of the country’s most promising sectors. An engineer’s journey begins at home, he noted, and decisions about what a child studies are usually made with parents. Most parents are unaware of the nature of their children’s work, he said, and if they understood the career opportunities in this sector, talented young people would feel encouraged to follow this path. Building a skilled workforce, he added, is a duty of families as well as universities and companies.
